What is a fiddle? Ok, it is pretty safe to say that almost everyone knows the answer to that question. The encyclopedia will tell you that a fiddle is simply a violin that is used to play folk music. Some have said that the fiddle is the oldest and most basic instrument of American Roots music. That is probably because the fiddle has been the instrument of choice for many ethnic communities throughout the world for centuries.
